EGMONTâ„¢

NZMP EGMONT Cheese is a unique New Zealand cheese, designed to strike a balance between Gouda and Cheddar.

It is semi-hard and rindless, with a sweet, nutty flavour and a smooth, almost plastic body.

It contains no artificial substances, either in the cheese or on its surface, and is made with 100 per cent natural ingredients.

NZMP EGMONT™ Cheese is highly regarded for its flavour, uniformity and consistency.

For processed cheese manufacture we offer two EGMONT™ cheese selections:

  • EGMONT 900 - higher solids cheese to give ‘body’ or intact protein
  • EGMONT 600 - designed as a ‘filler’ style of cheese

For shredding applications, EGMONT™ cheese has the following characteristics:

  • Uniform, pale, creamy colour
  • Smooth, plastic body
  • Mild, slightly sweet flavour
