Edam
NZMP Edam is a semi-hard, rindless cheese with a mild, nutty flavour and a smooth, almost plastic body.
This cheese generally has a close texture. However, small round or oval ‘eyes’ 2 mm to 6 mm in diameter sometimes appear. While very similar to our Gouda cheese, Edam is characterised by lower fat, higher protein, and a slightly firmer body.
It contains no artificial substances, either in the cheese or on its surface, and is made from 100 per cent natural ingredients.
